We've all have heard the saying, "actions speak louder than words."
This is especially true when it comes to our subconscious core beliefs.
Subconscious core beliefs are beliefs created through our experiences as children. They can come from interactions with our parents, teachers, or any other person who had influence in our lives.
The beliefs we have about ourselves - our strengths and weaknesses, our character traits and our abilities to change - are built on these experiences. They create the stories we hold about ourselves. Maybe we overheard something unpleasant our parents or a teacher said about us, or we get stuck on that one event that did not go well.
To create a damaging belief, it doesn’t take much. Right or wrong, once formed, these beliefs are stored, seldom questioned and all but forgotten. They often become the story we live by as adults.
These beliefs may have served a purpose when they were created and may have even kept us safe when we were younger, but many of them are outdated, oversimplified or downright wrong.
And every time something in our life matches one of the subconscious beliefs we have, that belief is further "confirmed".
